K38 Raid Recon Amphibious (133)
Rocky Darger on the left.
I was teaching a USMC Recon training at Coronado in California. I believe this was in 1997. Rocky worked for Yamaha Motors Corporation, and I enjoyed their sponsorship for these training programs with the Waverunners. We had great surf and good Marines to work with.
Rocky was a former USMC Helicopter pilot in Vietnam. I love this photo because the imagery of both of these 'Marines' has that 'look'. It never leaves you...I didn't know it at the time that Rocky was a Marine. I just found this box of slides and began going through them, posting them, there are about 1500 plus images from 3 years of training Marines at the Amphib base.
