Ben is working in the current vector, this was one of a myriad level of skill building drills that eventually would layer up to the real world situations that a water rescue professional would encounter.
All skills were developed to learn technical handling of the RWC (Rescue Water Craft). Most operators I have observed worldwide do not understand the difference between 'riding' and 'technical' use of a personal watercraft.
Essentially, due to this lack of knowledge and understanding, they run the liability risk of impact injury or equipment damage, and worse yet, a rescue or patrol attempt that creates unnecessary stressors.The K38 Way of Training.....a good foundation to build upon!Thanks again Ben!See you in Hawai'i!
